The Full Time English as a Second Language Program

Do you need to improve your English for academic, business or personal reasons? If so, you should consider the Full Time English as a Second Language Program located on the beautiful 37 acre Lehman College campus. Now in our 10^th year, we have helped many students meet their goals of passing the TOEFL, going to college or a masters program or just improving their English!!

We offer:

Instruction in reading, writing, listening comprehension and conversation.
A program for international students with F-1 visas
Five 7-week semesters each year, with start dates in Sept., Nov., Feb., March and June.
An intensive 5 day per week schedule (Mondays through Fridays, 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
Small classes to guarantee individual attention
Assistance with preparation and arrangements for TOEFL exams
Low costs of $880 per 7-week terms.

Classes are divided into different levels of English and all students must complete a placement exam.

The professors are devoted to their work and students. Teaching techniques include high-interest current methods in order to keep students actively involved in their learning. Instruction includes: books/workbooks, group activities, discussion, debates, presentations, research projects, library and computer work and field trips.

Students who attend improve their English quite rapidly; many notice improvement within one month!

During each semester the entire program celebrates typical American holidays, such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and graduation ceremonies where students receive completion certificates.
