Clarkson University is situated in Potsdam, New York, United States. It was founded in the year 1896 as the Thomas S. Clarkson Memorial School of Technology. It became a university in 1984. The university's two distinct campuses are the ‘downtown campus' and the ‘hill campus.' Clarkson University is divided into three degree-granting schools, which are:

The university fields a wide range of men’s and women’s sports teams known as the Golden Knights.
