 Study at Canisius College
Canisius College, established in 1870, is a private Catholic college located in the Delaware Park district of Buffalo, New York. It was founded by the members of the Society of Jesus. The college offers enrollment to more than 3,000 undergraduates and over 1,000 postgraduate students every year. The campus is spread across 58 acres of land and houses over 30 buildings. Through these schools, Canisius College offers more than 70 minors, majors and special programs of study. It is particularly well known for its finance program.
The college’s sports teams are nicknamed the Golden Griffins. It sponsors more than 10 men’s and women’s teams in sports of baseball, basketball, lacrosse, cross country, ice hockey, swimming and diving, golf, volleyball, softball and soccer. The Golden Griffins have won a number of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference titles in softball, lacrosse and baseball.
